After a Third Place Showing at Last Year’s Event in Costa Rica, the Australians Bring Some Heavy Talent to the 2010 Championship

Australia will be well represented at the 2010 Billabong ISA World Surfing Games when it opens October 18th in Lima, Peru.

About the program
The ISA to proud to award academic surf scholarships to U18 junior surfers. The Individual Scholarship Program's main objective is to provide financial support to junior surfers who demonstrate an actual need, in order to facilitate an experience in surfing while encouraging the importance of education.

The money must be used to travel to surf contests, and/or upgrade their surfing equipment and to foster the junior surfer’s education.

Antoine Delpero – Billabong ISA WSG Longboard Defending World Champion

Longboard World Champion of the 2009 Billabong ISA World Surfing Games, Antoine Delpero, was born far from the waves in Marseille, France on January 11, 1985, but then moved quickly to Biarritz, one of his country´s surfing capitals where he started surfing as a little kid.
