Central America will see the world’s best junior surfers compete for their National Teams in the tenth edition of the largest junior surf contest in the world
The International Surfing Association is pleased to announce that the 2012 edition of the ISA World Junior Surfing Championship, the largest junior surf competition in the world, will be held in Panama from Saturday, April 14 until Sunday, April 22.

Tom Curren (USA), one of the most influential surfers in the sport’s history will be defending the United States’ colors at the El Salvador ISA World Masters Surfing Championship from October 16 to 23 at the perfect, hollow point-break of Punta Roca.
A revival of the some of the best match-ups of the Women’s ASP World Tour in the late 90s and early 00’s will take place during the 2011 edition of the ISA World Masters Surfing Championship with Layne Beachley (AUS), Rochelle Ballard (HAW), Tita Tavares (BRA) and Heather Clark (RSA) competing in the event.
In less than four weeks, 128 of the world’s best over 35-year-old surfers from 25 countries will assemble at Central America’s epic point break, Punta Roca, to compete in the El Salvador ISA World Masters Surfing Championship.

About the program The ISA to proud to award academic surf scholarships to U18 junior surfers. The Individual Scholarship Program's main objective is to provide financial support to junior surfers who demonstrate an actual need, in order to facilitate an experience in surfing while encouraging the importance of education. The money must be used to travel to surf contests, and/or upgrade their surfing equipment and to foster the junior surfer’s education. Click here for more information |

When it comes down to the list of people that should never be overlooked, there is one Californian that has definitely earned a place in the heart of those that love the Hawaiian board sport.
